Last weekend I and lyosha were invited to Philadelphia to capture a very special day. A little adorable girl Nicole cerebrated her special birthday. Special, because it has religious significance- Bat Mitzvah. According to Jewish Law, every Jewish girl becomes a Bat Mitzvah at age 12. It was a great experience for us- we never shoot Bat Mitzvah before and we were very impressed…Nicole, her parents and grandparents prepared touchable speeches and stories about their beautiful family. The most emotional part was when Nicole started her speech….She told about her future life, career, and her love to family. Just breathtaking…..
Thank you Diana and Marat , thank you SO much for making us a part of that day!
Many of you remember Sonya and Vladimir’s E-session…Why I’ve back to this session again? Because I did not have a chance to share their amazing photos in a slide show …..my favorite tool for presentation. To be true this is my favorite Trash the dress session! I love everything about that day – the mood, the rain, love this sweet couple…We all had a lot of fun during photo shoot. BTW many of you probably thinking were it was shot – it is Bennett beach

loooove the image with the gulls!!
I am so happy, I’ve got permission to post these beautiful photos from unforgettable wedding !
Luwam and Samuel, I can not stop to say “Thank you”! We had such a blast photographing your Wedding day.
While Lyosha and Alexander photographed Samuel’ getting ready, Tatiana and I met Luwam in Iconz Hair Designs salon at 7-30 a.m. That beautiful day started with smiles.
Luwam’s dress was gorgeous!
They are one of the most beautiful couple I ever seen!!!
One of my favorite…
From the church. I love how the light reflects on their faces!
On the second day they were in gorgeous traditional dresses.
A beautiful bridesmaids amazed us every day with new stunning hairstyles and dresses.
Kids are always so funny. They were near us all the time and as soon as we started taking pictures, these little ones posed like professional models on the red carpet. But most interesting happened when we allowed them to be a photographers….

Yuka, beautiful work. Holla back at you from my old hood NYC. I'm a West Coaster now for the last 18 years. Hope you're having a great time with your mom.

Samuel and Luwam are easily two of the most fun clients we have ever had. It is nearly impossible to be around them and not to smile. Photo session was easy and natural. I love almost all photos from that day and it is hard to select my favorite…
Here are some of them:
This photo is just amazing…Thank you, Lyosha!!!
This one was taken by Lyosha too I love how you used the light….

Wow! I went to grad school with Samuel. Your work is fantastic!
I am ready to share with you Chris and Suzanne’s wedding photos. What an absolutely fabulous day!!! Full of emotions, romance, joy, surprises and touching toasts. One of the things which really touched me – it was said that “Chris knows the art of life. He loves to travel and discover new places and he opened a whole new world for Suzanne. Suzanne is the person who knows art of love. She brings them both back. Suzanne gives to Chris that warm and cozy feeling of being at home…” They simply complete each other and together they have so much fun. Wow! When you hear something like that you understand that there is something magical is happening right now, right at this moment. And you want to cry, tears of joy and happiness wanted to come out- that how I felt when I was there.
Thank you Suzanne and Chris, It was such a honor to be part of your wedding day!
I listen CD with your favorite songs – it makes me think about you guys. Using music it was really great idea to share with us a part of your soul. And your pictures on the table from different parts of the world were really cool idea.
I love everything about these small details you created for your wedding.
Have a blast in Hawaii’s!!!!!

There were a bunch in the slideshow that I really liked a lot. The one of her smiling after the guys toasting. The low angle from the back of the church is nice too. But I really love the first one looking down on them right before the B&W group shot. It is by far my fav.

Being an artist I wanted a photographer that gave you "that feeling" when one looked at their work. I searched and searched. So many other photographers' photos looked anonymous... generic... lifeless. Not the case with Yuka. I could not be happier with my photo's so far. Yuka has captured our souls, the essence of who we are. Each photo is saturated with emotion, meaning, and life. The compositions are also very complex and interesting. Yuliya and Lyosha are truly gifted artists. I feel so honored to have had Yuka shoot my wedding and engagemant. I can only imagine viewing these photographs twenty years from now with perhaps my own children ... and I know that these beautiful photo's will still tell the true story of our love. Thank you Yuliya and Lyosha for conveying so beautifully who we really are and giving us such a treasure. Chris and I thought you were wonderful to work with... we had such fun!
Yesterday we spent wonderful time on the beach shooting Chris and Suzanne’s engagement session. Chris and Susanne came for the shoot with their little cute friend who made us laughing all the time.
It was perfect symbioses of the great place, wonderful weather and a beautiful couple! They are both very interesting persons and supplement each other. She is an art teacher, she knows how to create the beauty and the harmony….He loves flying, surfing, skiing, aerial photography, travel and adventures. They are radiate happiness and they are so much in love!!!
It is hard to explain using words – So here are my favotite photos and Slide show from Chris + Suzanne e-session :
She lookes happy
One of my favorite:
I love this one….It was just a moment…I am sure this photo will surprise Suzanne

I just don't understand why would anybody pass an opportunity to hire Yuka for their wedding photography here, especially here in Buffalo. It is NYC level of craftsmanship and it is here, in Buffalo!
I love the slide show very much, the music diffused in these photos make it a magical combination! I feel like I went to the movies and saw a very special romantic movie. Great job! And a very cute third character in the photo shot.

the best i've ever seen,,,,, the two nicest people I know!
We had gone back and forth a few times about which day and time to shoot because the weather was cold all week. Finally it got sunny and wArm and we met last Saturday for engagement session. Aroma Café was a great spot for morning get-together! As always we came early and then Nick showed up but the most interesting part of this- he walked towards us alone…… When we asked where Susan was, he explained that her dress was damaged and she was looking for some thing other in her clothes. Susan came 5 min latter and I was so glad, she wasn’t upset too much about this nuisance and looked so beautiful and cheerful. Actually, I would like to say couple words about how they met. It was like in a movie…very designing story !
They both came to the bar for date…He with another girl and she – with other guy, going on a blind date. There was something “hooligany” in Nick’s mood that day, and he decided to go ahead and, actually interrupt Susan’s blind date by ending his date, following her and than asking her to step aside and possibly giving him her phone number. How daring is that? Well, it payed off, since they are getting married now, and it is not even 2 years since that historic night!
Nick and Susan are just so sweet together!!! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day:

Thank you, Jodi!
Last week I had the pleasure of taking some portraits of little Masha. She was so sweet at letting me run around her and take pictures. This is such a great age to capture!

Oh, my god, how cute!
It is amazing to see the features of both mother and father in one little person! Photos are so candid, any of them can become a post card. :)

I am floored by some of the details photos, like the hand reflection in the water, green door portrait, glass reflection with hands, Buffalo scape, jeans portrait, especially laying on the bench, the heart-shaped hands, grass background for holding hands, the black and white ring show-off! Makes me want to continue our rain-interrupted session with so many more ideas and triple energy!
I wrote in my previous post that I am so blessed meeting great people in my life, so these guys are from this list…
Elena and Andrei are the main heroes of my last photo shoot.
Usually people don’t believe in such stories, but I do… Elena and Andrei went to the same University in Minsk (Belarus) but their LOVE story starts when they met each other here, in Buffalo, NY.I can say it is a fact, but some times we need to fly across the ocean to find our love…
Life is full of surprises!
We became close friends from the moment we met each other. Elena is very creative and energetic person. She always inspires me to try something new and she provides so much help in my photography business.
Elena, just being around people like you makes me feel lucky, I am thankful for this!
I think these photographs highlighting their love and personality better then any words:
