Yesterday we (I and Lena) attended meeting of Buffalo Bridal Association. They presented new futures abilities for their members and interviewed the owner of the beautiful Salvatore’s restaurant. We spent great time and met a lot of friends and new interesting people there.
We woke up early morning for our photo shoot today (at 5 a.m.). As you know, this time of day gives warm and stunning light for pictures. This is my favorite time for photo shoot. I know, it is not easy, but it’s totally worth it!!!!!!!!!!
So, today our model was Anna. It turned out, that she is not only talented make up artist, but also very beautiful girl. During the week we have been getting together and made a decision about all details and style. I thing we did a great job J

Oh my God!
Anna - you are so photogenic!!!! There is no difference in the model craft for me in these pictures from the work of Natalia Vodianova or Eugenia ..... forgot the last name.
I really like this session so much more than the first one. And the last one of yours was very-very nice.
But this one is 100000 times better for me. Love it!
I love the "naturalness" of it. :)
If we didn’t know for a fact that the hotel is brand new, we would be totally convinced that the place has been in business for about 100 year and is being taken care off well. The lobby with concierge desks, piano, fresh cut flowers, art on the walls, historic architecture …. Everything there just spoke taste and artistic view. One of the most beautiful views in the area awaits for you through lobby windows and from the terrace on the second floor. Located on the Lewiston’s Riverfront, this hotel instantly became a very attractive place for sophisticated weddings and retreats in WNY. I would like to express my appreciation to Jeff , the general manager of the hotel for the finding the time in his busy schedule, for the hotel tour and for his kindness.
It was also exiting to meet Amy, newly appointed banquet manager and, We also had a chance to meet the person, who’s inspiration, taste, art appreciation and passion stands behind the hotel: Diane. It is always nice to meet a person who gives back to the community, makes the world around us more beautiful and meaningful. It is due to Diane the walls of the hotel, as well as some pieces of the furniture proudly represent work of local artists.
It was purely inspirational to just visit the hotel, and I can not wait to shoot a wedding in such an extraordinary setting!
Yesterday we had a privilege to meet with Trish, she is an owner of “Thrive Flower Studio”.
A young and full of energy lady opened the door…it was Trish, women who knows how make your weding day truly beautiful. Trish is a very easy-going person and has a bright, colorful character. Couple minutes into our conversation it felt like we’ve known each other for many years! Unexpectedly, we found out that Trish has been a photographer before and than a decorator and now has been immersing fiancés in Buffalo and surrounding areas into the art of flowers. In Trish’s own words she is “arranging flowers for the special events and does in with the passion!”
We found a lot common things between us. Trish loves everything new, innovative and fresh. She loves trying new styles in her artistic vision.
If you haven’t visit her beautiful website, you should go and look here…
Thank you, Trish for your tips and recomendations!
Today we have continued our introductions with Buffalo Wedding Industry Vendors. It was also today when the spring decided to give us one of the warmest days so far - it was very invigorating!
We planned to visit two very special wedding locations - Salvatore’s Italian Gardens restaurant and The Mansion on Delaware Avenue. Salvatore’s appeared in the most of its lavishness, the lavishness we have not yet seen in Buffalo. We almost twisted our heads off trying to take in the beauty of real crystal chandeliers, old fashioned furniture, circular sofas, stares, Salvatore’s brand seal on the miniature tile floor. We were impressed to learn that the new ballroom of the restaurant can host up to 600 people!!! They also told us that the kitchen we passed (which was like a ballroom itself) is not the only kitchen in the restaurant! And the restaurant can host even 4 weddings at once.
The only drawback to Salvatore’s banquet rooms is that they don’t have windows, but this is very nicely compensated with the lighting and decorations.
It seemed we visited a palace!
Our second stop this afternoon was a place equally impressive - The Buffalo Mansion, a legendary hotel where Faith Hill stayed. Faith Hill prefers king size beds, and so she bought one for The Buffalo Mansion, since they at that point only offered Quinn sized ones. Geno, the owner of this exquisite hotel and events facility giving us a grand tour assured, that even if a bride or groom ran out of the ideas of making their day more special, Geno’s group would not allow the event go ordinary: the whole facility will be candle lit, there can not be just simple table numbers at the reception - they have to be names of the stars, for example. Guests at a reception at the Buffalo Mention are required to be met with live music! Luxury, class and comfort are the tree words that defined The Buffalo Mansion for us. It is an extraordinary location for a special occasion. The Buffalo Mansion can host a party under 170.
After the two meetings we didn’t rush home and soaked up the sun wondering through new to us downtown streets and tooke some pictures.
Salvatore’s:
I love this little garden inside…..
Lena looks so happy on this picture!
Me againe
We could’t resist the temptation from photo shoot…

Yesterday was one of those tricky early spring days when you look outside and think it is spring already, because the sun is shining so bright, and yet when you get out without the hat and gloves – the weather says: “Got you!” – it is really very cold!
Nonetheless, it was a perfect day of the week to visit Buffalo Launch Club. If anybody is looking for a room with a view for their wedding reception – it is definitely one of the options to consider! We entered the club restaurant and the whole banquet room was sun lit, table cloths reflected the light making the room even brighter. The restaurant was awaiting its Easter Sunday Brunch guests already, a raw of chafer dishes that will be filled with eggs, bacon, and other yummies of what makes a brunch were facing the entrance. Jim Henzler, club general manager introduced us to this fine establishment. Can’t wait to take pictures of this fine establishment as soon as the outside beauty levels with the inside magnificence! We did not make photos of this meeting, but here is some pictures captured by Elena at one of the corporate event (by small camera:-))
Yesterday we met with Ben Fantaske from Key Video Productions. Ben invited us to thair office. The Grand Tour impressed us immensly: the office is large, yet created a feeling of a cosy home. Especcially impressive is a real size movie theatre with pop-corn and comfortable chairs, where the brides & grooms get to see video samples and their final video. It was very interesting to see other rooms with numerous computers, recorders and special equimpment. By the way - if there are any photos that you would like to digitalize (transfer to a CD or DVD), any old VCR tapes with those dear to you moments tranfered to DVDs - Key Video Productions can help!
At the entrace to the office a PERSONALIZED greeting waited us! That was very pleasant and unexpected surpize.
Again, similar to our Tuesday meeting, we’ve learned that Key Video Productions have 20 years of experience in Buffalo! Just by talking to Ben for about 1 hour we have already discovered some unique ideas for future weddings that we have not seen done yet.
Another interesting fact about Ben - he is the host of a CW 10:30 pm Sunday night special bridal show - Wedding Planning Weekly. Here is the picture of us playing news crew - doesn’t it look like we could make a nice group of anchors?
Thank you very much Ben for meeting us and introducing us to Key Video Productions.
We also would like to say Thank You to Michael Fantaske, who also found a moment in his busy schedule to meet us.
It is always pleasure to meet face to face with person who can merge together most of top weddings and honeymoon professionals.
Michael spoke to us about Buffalo Bridal Association - one of the very helpful resources to use to plan a wedding in Buffalo area.
Thank you very much, Michael!
