Latest news from my studio:
Hi everyone! I have a ton of news for today’s post: I bought a new camera! But prior to this first not so good news is last weekend while shooting wedding I damaged one of my Canon 5D’s. Because of this sad fact I bought a new Canon EOS 5D Mark II. This purchase was in my “Task List” for the next year… Sometimes things are making decision without consideration and asking you. So my Canon 5D left my office to the Canon Service Center and hopefully will be fixed soon.
So here is an advice for all the photographers:
Always, Always, Always!!! Do carry backup equipment with you! This is an absolute MUST for a photographer!!!
And an excellent example:
Last wedding: damaged camera was replaced instantly with the backup and we never had any problems with continuing our working process. As result, wedding was captured successfully and we never missed a single precious moment.
Another good news – I finally became a member of CPS. This is a great program which offers a lot of great services and benefits for professional photographers. My chose was Golden Membership which cost $100 membership per year. Just the fact that Gold Rush Repair for cameras and lenses in 3 days along with 30% membership discount makes it totally worth it!
For all the list of membership benefits please visit Canon CPS website
The Third and the Final news for today – Finally I have got my new fabulous folders. As a part of brand development this is very important in our business. I try to refresh all my publishing materials every year. Here is a new Yuka Photo Art kit for my lovely clients:
- Letterheads
- Folders (Thank you to Joseph from Buffalo Printing!)
- Business cards
- Note cards
- Stamps
- Chocolate
OK, back to shoots, here is a teaser from mother + daughter session.
I am signing off for now to shoot wedding. Talk to you later!

Oh my god – when CPS sent us that “Lens Work” book, or whatever it’s called (the red one) it was like crack for a week, I could NOT stop looking at every lens I want to own. CPS at the gold level is really amazing. I smashed a 580ex off the ground at the Statler a couple months ago and they had back to me fully repaired in a week. Hope your wedding was awesome!
